Witches With Dicks
Manual
Kiss of Death CD
“Is this the way we’ll waste our lives away? / Won’t be the way I’ll waste my life away…They say we’re satisfied and they’d never tell a lie, but somehow we’re ok with calling this life.”*
You got to love the moniker. The music doesn’t disappoint either.
Don’t let the name throw you off, Boston’s Witches With Dicks share that gritty punk output similar to contemporaries like New Bruises and Latterman. Gruff passionate vocals, rushed guitar-shredding rhythms, and a sound that never gets old, Manual will make you pump your fists and shout along.
Manual is raw, abrasive, yet melodic and anthemic. The whole band contributes vocally, and this strong unity is felt wholeheartedly throughout the release. Witches With Dicks is one of those bands you need to experience live, and with any indication of their delivery on record, it should be nothing short of invigorating.
Fans of the aforementioned outfits, Unfun era Jawbreaker, and down-and-dirty punk-rock, will rejoice in the sounds of Manual. I pledge my allegiance to Witches With Dicks! They’ll definitely help shake you from any depressive funk you’re stuck in.
