Scenes From A Movie
The Pulse
One Big Spark CD

What the fudge!

The infestation of mundane radio friendly melodic pop-rock is getting to be regoddamndiculous. This is definitely not my sound.

The Pulse is spotless containing a plethora of clean hooks and smooth up-beat melodies, however Scenes From A Movie lacks the originality to really spark my old worn ear’s attention. Scenes From A Movie share an uncanny similar melodic drive to contemporaries like Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco. “Detective, Detective” contains that little extra zing that’s missing on the rest of The Pulse, however it’s not a track for repeat listens. They just play it too clean and safe for my taste.

The polished The Pulse seems to contain no real pulse. It’s predictable, it lacks creativity, each track sounds just like the next, but if you have posters of the aforementioned bands on your bedroom wall then Scenes From A Movie is for you. Everyone else stay far far away.
