Fast, old-school influenced hardcore that’s stitched together with tight-knit melodies, Buffalo’s Get Back Up get’s the blood pumping with nine short tracks.
If you want to play hardcore and you want to stand out then you better as hell make sure you write songs that are both inventive and hard-as-nails. Get Back Up definitely writes songs that are rigid and solid, however the group contains more traditional influences meaning it’s a sound that you’ve heard before. Fortunately Get Back Up does the hardcore sound justice.
Even though Get Back Up plays a straight-forward sound, they do incorporate some nice melody especially in “No Bravery” and “Your Departure.” Weathering the Storm is a nice short dose of adrenaline but it’s not essential unless your ears are starving for more hardcore.
