Far From Finished
Living in the Fallout
Think Fast CD

“I’m a fucked up boy in a fucked up world…I ain’t a fucking saint / Think I’m a fucking bum.”*

Living in the Fallout is upbeat, melodic, and echoes the driving rhythms of Face To Face, the street tough attitude of the Ducky Boys, and the Street Dogs. Boston’s Far From Finished plays a sound I usually highly enjoy, but Living in the Fallout doesn’t really contain any songs that held my mushy brain’s attention for long. To put it honestly, it’s unmemorable.

Perhaps Far From Finished’s delivery is too polished and clean for my taste. There’s not a whole lot of innovative playing here, just straight up watered-down melodic punk rock that gets old fast. Each song sounds like the next, and even though every track contains a plethora of backing vocals, pleasing melodies, and sharp spot-on guitar riffs, Living in the Fallout just didn’t get these old-weathered yarbles hard. Just keep spinning those Face To Face albums.
