Pissed off and ready to engage in fisticuffs, Boston's Blood for Blood's "Fuck You" attitude and uncompromising "white trash hardcore rock 'n roll" is mind-numbing, uninspiring, and boring, to say the very least.
Outlaw Anthems is Blood For Blood's swansong. Other than the second-rate straightforward hardcore, the blunt lyrics are unimaginative, and the rants in the beginning of the songs are just laughable, as in the opening of "So Common, So Cheap," "Fucking your pussy was like fucking a wound from a shotgun blast with gangrene." Ah, sweet poetry.
"White Trash Anthem" and "Dead End Street" actually held my attention for a brief moment, but on the whole, Outlaw Anthems will trigger an inexhaustible amount of yawns.
I never understood the attraction of Blood For Blood, but if bands like Madball and Sheer Terror is your cup o' tea, and/or you currently reside in a correctional institution, then Blood For Blood's anthems full of resentment and hatred is for you.
